Orchid I

This painting, while the same subject, is is direct size contrast to the other series I have been working on. Completed last summer, Orchid I is about 3 feet x 4 feet. Most of my career has involved working in such large scale, so I like to introduce that into my work. A Walk in the Garden

I have begun a series of these smaller canvas studies. A little more abstract take on the floral imagery…exploded borders…zoomed snapshots in paint…added bits of garden elements reminiscent of our old iron gates.
