Off My Palette

This is a new series I have been doing…ultimate recycling…not letting any bit of paint go to waste…It is as though I am sketching my thoughts with abandon…my brush stroking the canvas with the bright colors remaining on my palette…my mind consumed with all the activities and projects of the day… These little canvases…standing at attention on the end of my table…waiting to be discovered…waiting to become.. and I am just a part of that...

One Down…

I just finished one of the Home Portraits waiting in the wings. These memory pieces have been laden with emotion since this past July…and I have battled completing them. I love that this wonderful mother/daughter team wanted to incorporate one of their old chandelier crystals! I also introduced several wonderful vintage items found thrifting and hunting on Cape Cod. When reading the questionares, I ponder the answers and imagine compositions in my head…mental pictures form as I see families celebrating, gathering together…memories kept…and I try to incorporate all this into these little creations…back to the studio table…more...
